Tax-exempt ordering — what's required
Wholesale orders are subject to Michigan's standard 6% sales tax by default. To order tax-exempt, a valid resale certificate must be on file before your first order.
Michigan buyers: Michigan Sales and Use Tax Certificate of Exemption — Form 3372. Michigan does not issue tax exempt numbers — the completed Form 3372 is your exemption document.
Out-of-state buyers: Your home state's resale certificate or the Uniform Sales and Use Tax Certificate approved by the Multistate Tax Commission.
Orders without a valid certificate on file will have Michigan sales tax applied. This is a state requirement, not a Shea Butter Heaven® policy.
