Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a mild, plant-derived surfactant that is very well tolerated by the skin. It is so gentle that it is internationally recommended for use in foaming products designed for infants. It is also suitable for those with sensitive skin.
Cupuaçu Butter
Cupuaçu (pronounced ku-pu-ah-SU) is an Amazonian superfruit closely related to cocoa. Cupuaçu butter is one of nature's most effective moisturizers — the amount of moisture it delivers when used in skincare formulas is exceptional. It is rich in fatty acids and vitamins that help soften, condition, and nourish the skin.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is prized for its ability to help hydrate and soothe the skin. The water-dense leaves of the aloe plant, combined with plant compounds called complex carbohydrates, make it an effective skin moisturizer. It is rich in polyphenols, a group of antioxidant plant compounds that support overall skin wellness. Aloe vera is gentle enough for sensitive skin and is widely used in skincare for its soothing and hydrating properties.
Emu Oil
Emu oil is a deeply penetrating emollient that helps carry other moisturizing ingredients further into the skin. It is fast-absorbing, fragrance-free, and suitable for all skin types. Shea Butter Heaven® introduced emu oil into our formulas in 2002 specifically to enhance moisture absorption and skin comfort.
Shea Butter
Our shea butter is sourced directly from Ghana, raw and unprocessed. It is slow-melted to preserve its creamy texture and maximize its natural skin-nourishing properties. Shea butter is rich in fatty acids and vitamins A and E, which help soften and condition skin while supporting its moisture barrier.
Mango Butter
Mango butter is extracted from the kernel of the mango fruit. It is an excellent emollient that helps soften and moisturize skin, providing a lightweight, non-greasy feel. Combined with shea butter, it creates the signature texture of our Mango Better Butter collection.
